Two books influenced my humanist philosophy as an adolescent and young adult: the Museum of Modern Art´s photographic essay curated by Edward Steichen, The Family of Man, and the photographic essay inspired by Steichen 25 years later, The Circle of Life: Rituals from the Human Family Album with an introduction by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

I am a Humanist Celebrant and Wedding Officiant, endorsed by The Humanist Society an adjunct of The American Humanist Association. Humanism is a philosophy of life that embraces democratic principles and affirms our responsibility as human beings to use reason and free inquiry to build a more humane society and improve life on this planet.
I commemorate life’s milestones in ceremonies that honor cultural traditions in a humanist service. I will create with you meaningful ceremonies which reflect your traditions, values, beliefs and our common humanity.
